that have both inlet and outlet on one side and one "turn around" tank. Those are not used in the 300zx. I was refering to the ability of air entering a 300zx style IC from being cooled by all the cross tubes, particularly those farthest from the inlet/outlet toward the top. Only the Greddys (now defunct and unpopular) have the outlet in a different location from all others. It is in the center of the tank. Not ideal but perhaps it does something. That design, however, results in the lowering of the IC. Good because it centers the face of the IC right behind the grille opening, bad because it also lowers it, forcing to make contact with the under nose plastics. Greddy users (there may be some left out there) have had to cut into their plastics, or live with a bulge.
