And they should be set when the car is at regular ride height rather than at full droop. I jacked up the front end, put some cinder blocks under the front tires and dropped the car onto those. With the suspension at normal ride height the bar should be close to 90 with the suspension upright and the links should go on easily with no preload to either side.
