This may be old news but I was excited to see that Nissan is bringing forced induction back into the Z family. The next Z won't have a V6, but a turbo'd 4 cylinder with the "same" performance of the 332hp V6 in the current 370Z. My read is that they are going to lighten the car substantially to get the 4 banger to run like the current V6. There's no way they will get 332hp out of a turbo'd 4 (and keep the price in the low 30ks) so they'll have to do the job with weight savings. They may use more hydro-formed aluminum in the frame and suspension components, lighter seats, and gear the car with a 7sp auto or 6sp manual. Lets just hope they build-in some strength for aftermarket tuning. Should be a lot simpler to mod with just 1 turbo. If they get this right (looks, power, and handling) we could see a lot more TTs for sale.
