Finally making the switch over to a cross-over. Winter is coming and I wanted a ride that I didn't have to put chains on every time I drove up to Tahoe, something I could load up and go camping in, and something that I could 4 people in and still have room to load a bunch of shit in the back. I looked at a bunch of cross-overs, and for the $$ it was hard to turn down the 94x for the luxury and functionality you get compared to other vehicles for the same price. Not that it doesn't come with its own set of issues, mainly the fact that saab is no longer in business, the fact that it doesn't have a manufacturer warranty, the fact that there really are no parts for it yet in America (although, I was assured from Saab Parts North America Team that they were finalizing parts for the 94x and they would be stateside soon). So, it's a fully loaded brand new (87 miles on the odo) 2011 94x aero, talked the guy down about $17k from the sticker price, bought an aftermarket warranty that's almost as good as a factory bumper to bumper, so I said... f*** it and went for it. The car drives like a dream. I love being up high, and for a cross over, it gets 22mpg, so not terrible, not amazing either, but meh. Here I come Tahoe!
