Message I've got a ton of pics from the final banquet.

The main theater where the awards banquet was held:

A picture of the bar. This ended up being the most popular place during dinner. I wonder why?

Pre-dinner entertainment. The music was great and the hoop dancing was exceptional. The guy has won many awards in hoop dancing competitions and I wish I could post 3-D videos. You had to watch it.

Chicken Parmigiana dinner:

Beef Tenderloin dinner:

Just like I remember in Tennesee's ZCON, Mr. K hung out with us during the banquet through Skype. Even after we said goodbye to him and disconnected, he would call back. This happened several times until we just kept him online. He was a trooper as he stayed online through the entire evening.

Volunteers:

Yoshihiko Matsuo's presentation. He was the original designer of the 240Z. Some different designs. There was a 2+2, a convertible, and a station wagon design as well.

Randy Rodriguez, the designer of the 370Z. He was involved in many other designs including the Nissan Quest, boat, and Nissan jet.

Pictures of the winning cars and their owners. Woody won a couple of awards, Threepointo, rodelb, and I won 2nd place in our categories as well.

Here's Threepointo:

Here's mine:

Some of the other winners:

I got 3rd place at the TT.net dinner, admin's choice award at the TT.net dinner, and 2nd place Nissan Modified class at ZCON. I also won a DVD at the TT.net dinner raffle, (2) goodie bags in the ZCON raffle, and a $50 gift certificate from Specialty Z. Coupled with all of the fun events, it was a great ZCON week.

I hit 90,000 miles on the way back home. Not bad on the original motor and transmission.

Here's the bad things that I encountered:
1) Air conditioning stopped working halfway to Arizona from Northern California.
2) Car started to heat up really bad where the needle remained pegged just below the line before "H"
3) My secondary electric fan in front of the condenser seized up and had to be replaced. Thanks to the fellas at Pitstop Performance and Coz.
4) When I finally got back to California and dropped my girlfriend off at her place, my car would not start. When I turned the key, I would hear one click but no engine cranking. We thought it was the clutch relay. Changed that and it didn't help. The starter has gone out and will be replaced tomorrow. I guess on the bright side, good thing the starter didn't crap out on the long drive from Arizona to California. *sigh*

ZCON was great. It was awesome to see old TT.net friends and meet some new ones. Being able to drive at the Nissan Technical Center will be one of those lifelong memories that I will cherish as well as the fun times spent at ZCON. It is definitely an experience that everyone should have at least once.

Thanks goes out to Mindi, Damon, and TT.net team who put together the TT.net dinner and set up the raffles and sponsors. You guys RAWWWKKK!
