Message	Makes alot of sence and is true... I do understand where he is coming from by searching for someone cheaper that is knowledgeable and can do the job on spare time. Thats why he asked on this forum rather than searching for any random mechanic off the street. Someone who came to me asked how i do motor swaps so cheap compared to rdz in ct. Its pretty simple in my eyes, all about overhead and having bills to pay at the end of the day. Sucks for any large scale business in this economy because people refuse to pay the deserved price. In this case rdz told someone they wanted 1400 labor only to swap an na motor. No maintenance ect.Thats pretty steep IMO but again i cant compare my price to theirs when i have 1k to pay at end of month and they have who knows. Easily 4x that amount in rent and insurance ect. So yes you can deffinetly find someone off a forum or through a fellow car owner that know how to turn a wrench for cheaper and just cause you did that doesnt make you cheap an doesnt make company jerks for charging so much either. I can say if you have the money and want it done correctly without any issues then specialtyz being right next door to you is a no brainer. They have to charge because the money they have to payout and for the schooling they did,tools ect. Its just fair. In the customer eyes they should be happy to find a place that can do everything in house on the specific car and be willing to answer the countless questions they prob get on dailly basis and know that everything is covered. Theyre definitely a huge part of this community.
