| Unfortunately now days people do not value knowledge or craftmanship. I understand the desire to not pay much for "mechanic" work because "how hard can it really be ? In the end its only a few nuts and bolts. True some people are willing to give away their time and money for peanuts, some with proven track records are not. There is a reason why ecu chips are available for 6 bux for a blank one, to 500 bux from jwt. In the end its only a $6 chip. I completely understand what you are looking for and i am suggesting you either diy so you learn something or pay someone that knows what they are doing AND is willing to stand behind their work AND will do the job right first time CORRECTLY. In the end its your choice to take the risk of having someone that MIGHT do the job correctly vs having someone that WILL do the job correctly. Maybe you don't like my suggestion and thats fine but i think its a bit unfair to think that "some" mechanic has any interest in "fucking" you. Maybe it is you that is looking to "fuck some poor mechanic" by having them come to your house and work on your car for peanuts. Good luck and hope you understand what everyone is trying to tell you.
