weekend. On Monday, I took my messed up valve covers to a powder coater near me. I tried to strip the paint myself but I made the situation worse. I didn't strip much, just ended up smearing the VHT wrinkle plus paint all over the place and made a mess of it. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the carnage that I caused. I only have before pictures and after pictures. The valve covers came out beautifully but my iPhone 4S camera takes crappy pictures indoors. I was originally told that they would be done by Friday close of business but he was finished with them this morning. How awesome is that? I dropped them off along with my chrome plenum at my mechanic's shop and that is the last of my parts that were outstanding. My next posts should be of my car back together before ZCON. Valve covers fresh off the engine. So grimy, dirty, and nasty with 186,800 miles on them...

Here is the finished product fresh from the powder coaters. They charged me $200.00 for stripping off the VHT paint nightmare with Jasco, media blasting, and then powdercoat. I was told that it would be a bit cheaper if they didn't have to remove the paint and just had to work with the valve covers after I degreased them...

I eat rice, I don't put rice on my car!
