Message To those that feel the need to warn me that AMS will copy this: please refrain, I'm fully aware of their existence.

Here's something I've been working on for a very long time. I've hinted about making them for years and many people have asked me when they'd be available, to which I've never been able to give a definite answer until now.

Introducing the BDE "Bullseye" Adjustable Exhaust Pulley, finally available October 2012:

BDE Bullseye adjustable exhaust pulleys will revolutionize the way you think of cam timing tuning...

Why adjust exhaust cam timing?
When V-type multi-cam heads and blocks, like the VG30D(TT), are surfaced, the cam timing changes differently from side to side - this change necessitates degreeing the cams to get them back in sync with the crankshaft. If the cams are degreed using the adjustable pulleys that have been available until now, the numbers on their scales now have no relevance whatsoever to their original zero marks and the side to side change inconsistency typically leaves the final degreed setting of each pulley on different numbers of their scales... that is "if" they came with a zero mark reference.

Let there be light...
Enter the BDE Bullseye Exhaust Pulley - After the cams are degreed to the crankshaft, the unique BDE outer ring can be rotated to align with the scale's zero mark so future adjustments can easily be made without the hassle of remembering where the original starting point was. Now the vernier scale actually means something after the cam degreeing process. For fresh builds, the pulleys can easily be set to true zero by visually centering the bullseye and then setting the scale's zero to the ring's timing mark.

Cores are a pain
Forget about cores, BDE adjustable exhaust pulleys are 100% machined from billet 6061 T6 aluminum and don't reuse any stock parts. The center hub and ring are anodized black while the cog is hard anodized for serious protection from belt wear.

Let there be light... "weight" that is
BDE Bullseye adjustable exhaust pulleys are lighter than the factory pulleys - stock weighs 2.04 lbs. while the Bullseye weighs in at 1.29 lbs. Lighter rotating parts equals a faster accelerating engine with more power going to the ground.

Price
Retail pricing will be available on my website within the next few days and I'll be placing ads in the TT.net classifieds as well.
