Message an e-fan. When you design the radiator, ducting, and air mover (clutch fan or e-fan) to all work together for a given heat load, it doesn't matter how the fan is driven.

If you actually sit down and design a radiator/fan/shroud setup to work together properly in our application, there really isn't any reason that an E-fan couldn't work. We just have a situation where our clutch fan moves so much freakin air that any e-fan setup, even if properly designed, will probably work better with the clutch fan.
