At this point, if these were to be installed in a used transmission, I'd say a person should expect to replace all the major shaft bearings (six total), seals and gaskets. Depending upon the condition of your 5th gear and it's synchro rings, some of these may need to be replaced too. One difficulty I ran into was that I needed a thicker snap ring than was available from Nissan; I ended up making a shim to take up the clearance, but next time I would probably make a new snap ring out of tool steel.
