Message 4/5 of the way around the world, from Shanghai to my engine bay in western Germany, no complaints there. However the packing for this trip was next to non-existent. I have heard this is a common theme for things the chinese ship.

But I am going to complain about the ballasts....the 9006 connector on these do not snap/lock into our 9006 connectors at all. I can totally see a hard day at the track or extended drive over the freeway or other rough surfaces vibrating them loose. Also the D2S adaptor does not feel as securely in place as the Bosch ones I was using before, but they are certainly far more secure than the 9006 connectors. I cant see these falling off without someone/something twisting them.

The ballasts are functional (not nitpicking, I have received a timing light from China that simply was non-functional straight from the box). I turned on the lights, and they worked (still using original bulbs). Left them on for a minute or two and no smoking, sizzling, or other surprises. So at this point I should log onto 3ZC and talk about how what a great product they are, and that I recommend them to everyone.

As for you guys, I would say this. For $60 you can get a set of ballasts and D2S adaptors (if anyone else even uses them) and they will "work", but you may need to get creative with how to keep the 9006 connectors secured. If they last a couple years with the infrequent night driving I do, at this price I will be satisfied.....but when they burn out, I am going with a proper set of HID lights, preferably the OEM's off the '99 model. I know a couple of you reading this have a set and have gotten good use out of them, so I am keeping an open mind and hoping for a similar result.
