 3. if you insist on coating intake manifolds, insulate the inside of the manifolds to keep the intake charge from being warmed by the hot manifolds. Do this way way way after you, inside and out, coat your intercoolers, which actually do provide the surface area and cool air flow required for effective heat exchange.
