| Hi fellas, Mike from Racelogic here. Firstly thank you for the endorsement. In our experience it was only the California spec of 300ZX TT that required coils - it was a very early form of misfire detection that was brought in to mitigate emissions regs. It may be however that the later models also got this type of ECU, though to date I've never heard of it. There are a few cars that have to have the additional coils fitted - the V10 Viper for one. Same problem - brings on a CEL although doesn't actually do anything about it (although the latest gen isn't compatible at all, it has full-blown misfire detection and limp home). The coil module reintroduces the ringback wave pattern that the ECU is expecting to see, and should solve your problem.
