| To sum a long story up.... cyl 1,3 and 2,6 leak air from vlaves not closing fully but with the cams not installed in the head they seal and do not leak. A machine shop who just installed the valves not too long ago saidthe lifters is whats causing the valves to stay open. I havent heard that before and was under the impression when the heads are off the block the valves should be fully shut with the cams in. Car is a non turbo and previous mechanic did timing wrong and ran car for few min and it died. Bent ton of valves and machine shop swapped valves from other heads and purchased several new ones. Now i get it running and cyl 1 had 20psi and leakdown test showing 80% . Since i knew about recent headwork i just pulled heads. Block is fine. The block has higher compression pistons and owner didnt know so mabe possibly bigger cams? Or would dead lifters in 4 cylinders actually cause valves to not shut?
