After better understanding their policy, Grundy won't insure my car if I use it for errands, a deal breaker for me because it seems the only chance I get to drive my Z these days is at 8PM on a Wednesday night when we run out of milk. Found some positive reviews on a classic Porsche forum about Barrett Jackson insurance. The service is endorsed by Barrett, but as in many cases, underwritten by another company. Their quote was about $100 more per year than Grundy ($445 vs. $556 for $30K) with a zero deductible, and no limitation on the type of usage, once classified as "pleasure vehicle", i.e. no commuting or school. The premium is set-up with mileage limitation tiers, but that's not a problem for my lifestyle at the moment. My local farmers insurance agent who insures our DD cars and house quoted me a similar rate as Barrett Jackson ($500 for $30K) but with no mileage limitations. I do need to provide an appraisal for the stated value, but that's not a big deal. The policy is underwritten by JC Taylor
WARNING: I lack industry backing
