You still need to call. I as a service manager work for such and such a company and call in a such and such claim, they can tell me no all day long. Most manufacturers want the customer to call in and start the claim, some of which has to do with warranty fraud commited by some dealers, a process of which I will not get into. What they dont like to do is tell a customer whos in the right, no Mr. so and so, you're right but we wont back you up. If you have not called Nissan NA the source of the supossed denial, I would reiterate to do so.
