Message	Nissan is refusing to warranty my 57 mile trans with a 4th gear rattle on low load. The issue is spreading to other gears as well. Trans has only gentle miles on it due to the fact that i am breaking in my motor. Trans rattles in 4th right around 2300 - 2400 rpm. 1st and 5th are whisper quiet. 2nd is a bit noisy, 3rd is somewhere between 1st and 4th in the noise level. Dealer tech / engineer is agreeing with me saying this is a mfr defect. Nissan claims they only warranty if the part is installed at the dealer. If you check with dealers they all claim 12 month, 12k mile warranty on all nissan oem parts except audio. I have heard of several people getting their trans warrantied regardless of installer. IMO the local nissan rep is on a power trip and being a dick. All i need is a list of people that have issues with their 99 spec trans. If it was warrantied and at what dealer.
