Perhaps you meant to say more regular WRXs were produced than EVOs? I am willing to bet Subaru did not produced more high end WRX STIs than the EVO. Regardless, you will find more EVO 8/9 calipers available at lower costs than you STI calipers. A simple search will show this to be true. Thanks for playing.
