You could definitely make more peak power with less than $6k ("more bang for your buck") but I don't know of many ways you can make 300 lb-ft at 3250 rpm AND a peak torque of over 700 lb-ft. The area under the curve is what makes the 3.2 stroker kit so impressive, not peak numbers. Also, it may be splitting hairs, but the stock displacement on a VG30DETT is 2.960 L. The JUN is 3.247 L. So really, a 0.287 displacement increase. At any given rpm, you can expect a 10% increase in power (roughly). All that being said, I agree with you, probably not worth it.
