I would like to thank the members of this forum for helping me throughout this entire journey. This was my first tt project and hopefully the last for at least a little while. I owned this car for 3 months last year but was forced to sell due to unforeseen medical expenses. I sold it to a younger guy who beat the hell out of it, installed a few parts wrong and blew it up after 2 weeks of ownership. I loved the car so much that i offered to buy it back for cheap and start a winter rebuild project. After finding out from the machine shop that the heads and block were pretty warped and would require metal headgaskets to rebuild i decided to look for a motor elsewhere. I took a gamble on a 95 jdm that was local but had good compression numbers and looked very clean. I bought a new 95 harness and converted to the newer style motor. I ended up replacing a leaking steering rack, brake master cylinder, 95 efi harness, rusted battery tray, new yellow top nismo injectors,timing kit, mounts, clutch, pressure plate, specialty z chip, all gaskets, silicon hoses and seals on the motor. Also deleted egr, aiv, carbon canister and prvr systems. It was a long slow and at times very trying process but the most difficult projects are also the most rewarding! She fired right up with no real problems or leaks and at this point im pretty happy. There was quite a few little differences here and there from the year changes so make sure if your going to convert to a 95 to keep all your original parts until your done!
