I have my Z listed on a car classifieds site. It's had all the 120k done with upgraded injectors and clutch, along with OEM seals, belts, water pump, all that stuff. Pretty much the motor was rebuilt except for headgaskets and rings/bearings since everything on the outside is new. Intake, short shifter, exhaust, radiator, etc all were upgraded to high performing pieces and soooo many other parts and upgrades. Plus take into account it's a fairly low mile car (130xxx) for a 92 model and is a pretty uncommon/rare car these days. I have it listed at $7800 obo which I feel is pretty fair since there is some wiggle room. Anyways, I am getting tired of telling people no, or deleting messages on that classifieds site where people offer me 240SXs with stock KA24s and full of Ebay parts as an even trade, or a bone stock "cleanish" 240SX with a whole whopping 2k cash on top, or their $3000 CRX, early 80s Firebird or some other crap. I mean, I could understand if their F-body had a built ass motor in it or if their 240SX had an RB25 and full on suspension or something...but where do these people get off thinking it's worth anyone's time to even look at their piece of shit car? Do they actually have some whacked out notion that someone is going to give up a 400hp car for a piece of crap Honda or 240SX you see 15 of a day, and that's before you even get to work? Argh! Sorry, just wanted to vent! Where are the people at that actually READ the full ad and say oh ok, his ad says he doesn't want Hondas or non turbo 240SXs, he only wants turbo imports, American muscle or Euro luxury/sports cars? I want those people to write me, even if it means I only get 1 message on there every 9 or 10 days instead of 1 every 2 or 3.
