Message If you feel a change in the steering when the speedometer stops working then it means that the speed signal isn't being seen at the ecu. Since you're seeing the speedometer not working then the problem is either the signal is not making it to the gauge cluster or the speedometer board is not working correctly. The speedometer board changes the signal to a 2 pulse signal and sends that to the ecu. Regardless, the speedometer is most likely the problem because of the intermittent problem it's having. Your speedometer developed a secondary problem after I repaired the circuit that enabled it to start working. It probably wasn't used for so long that the capacitor components went bad which old capacitors do when they sit for long periods of time without working. Pull the gauge cluster and send it to me and I'll replace the board at no charge.
