There are serial numbers, but no correlation with VIN #'s. Do you know for sure what cams are in the engine? Its possible someone upgraded cams (ie JWTs), which would require an adaptor to fit the old style gears, so they may have just used newer style gears instead. Or they could have installed newer heads, or a newer longblock. The newer heads have different numbers. Not entirely sure what the head numbers would be for 91TT, but the later ones were 40P, and 48P (95 and 96). You can search for the 91 numbers. However the blocks are all the same, and if you search for block numbers, you'll find there is no VIN # on them like some other cars have. These cars have been frequently "repaired" by dropping in a JDM engine.
