"informal" study, states that there is "not a statistical difference" for red cars, but doesn't offer the statistics used (and it seems from the numbers they use that there would be a statistical difference:14% of the cars were red, and they got 16% of the tickets. I'm not even going to try to create the statistics.) Plus, every reputable source doesn't believe red cars get more tickets. ..... On the other hand, I could find almost nothing to support the idea that red cars are more likely to get tickets based solely on car color. ... In order to really know, one would have to set up an experiment, operationally define all variables, spend gobs of time and money, and half the people wouldn't believe them anyway. (Geez, I need a life if I've got time to think about this stuff.)
