Message	not of the z, but looking into purchasing a vehicle. title states it has a lien, but owner swears it does not. he does not have any paperwork from the bank proving so, but he is willing to go the dmv with me. how does this work? i just don't want to have a nightmare registering the car if there are paperwork issues. is this a common thing that's easy to deal with? is there anyway i can check the current status on my own with the vin number? also, side question... looking to purchase something from a member on 300zxclub.com, user name is 'son of sam' or something like that. anyone have any experience with him or can vouch for him? thanks again. mike.
