If you can find a good machine shop....then yes, I agree. I've rebuilt several engines. The biggest lesson I've learned is NEVER assume the machining was done correctly. Always double-check the machine shop's work. If you don't have the instruments to do so, you'd probably be better off buying from IPP. And even if you end up buying an engine from a reputable source such as IPP, always do a baseline compression check and leak down. That way if you have issues later on, there is no question as to whether or not the engine was good in the first place.
