Message I am trying to keep a bone stock look but decrease under hood temps and had an idea that I wanted run by everyone. I noticed at the rear of the bay there is a rubber gasket on the pinch rail near the base of the windshield. When the hood is closed the rubber compresses and seals off the engine compartment from the cowl at the base of the windshield. I am thinking of removing this trim piece so that engine heat can escape up and out of the bay. Also while driving I am thinking airflow over the top of the hood will help pull air out of the bay. There is also little trim of rubber over the battery area attached to the hood, I am thinking of taking this out too. Has anyone tried this?
