Basically they told me that typically 99.5% of car bumpers they paint come in while installed on the car. They can easily wet sand and buff while they are installed. I explained that there was really poor communication on their part, because I could have just as easily taken my bumper back from their shop the minute I dropped it off and brought it back installed. Plus, I dont think their job would have been any easier had it been installed, as the edges abutting the headlight housing with the rubber trim would have to be carefully taped off, etc. The inside edge at the very top of my TT bumper needed to be painted, so IMO, it was easier to overshoot around the bumper. But yeah, at the end of the day, it felt like...had I not complained and called them out on a crap looking job, they would have never mentioned wet sanding and buffering.
