| Kong, you're idea of getting a die in there is good except that depending on how bad the stud threads are to start with the die could destroy all the stud threads in the process. I wish there was a way to start the die at the manifold face and work it backwards off the stud. Gordo, your idea of simply putting a spacer in up to where the threads stop working is also a solid idea. I'm not sure if these initial threads are strong enough to hold much torque but they might be. Certainly better than taking the engine out. There's very little space here to work with. This exhaust port is off cylinder #2 behind the A/C. I don't think there's enough space to be able to pull the stud out from under the manifold. Thanks for the great ideas guys!
