Message Hi All,

It's been ages since I've actually been able to pay real attention to the site or do anything Z related. I'm quite sure many new members won't even know who I am (if that's the case feel free to read the tt.net history :) ), but for those who do...

Some of you know, I spun the #6 rod bearing in my engine during a Ferrari Toys for Tots Rally back in Christmas of 2009. The car sat for about 18 months as I slowly (very slowly) took bits of time to take things apart. Finally as of last week my block & heads made their way down to Kyle for some love and attention! The upside is I still haven't clicked over 50,000 original miles :D

Work, young kids who are getting very active, and other items seem to have pushed the Z to the background for me in recent years. My daughter is now 3 years in remission from leukemia, doing fantastically, and I've racked up 7 marathons and 4 half-marathons since 2007 having focused on raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

With the crash of the server, Damon finally managed to get me pinned down to do some work and help get it back up. The credit goes all to him though, he was the workhorse behind the vast majority of effort to get the site back up and running. I appreciate his efforts to keep things going for quite a while with me as a primarily silent and absent partner.

My other big news item is that our family is re-locating to Denver (Highlands Ranch) in early June. We'll close on our house out there this Wednesday. 22 years in Dallas and 37+ in Texas and a ton of friends whom I will miss terribly, but it's time to move on for us. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the Denver area Z'ers at some point, and a more outdoorsy lifestyle. Not looking forward to thinner air so much (for my internal engine, or the Z!) A 3 car garage was a requirement in the house hunt, so the Z has a nice cozy place to live and will hopefully be alive again once we are settled in. Of course, I won't have my technical crutch of a ton of knowledgeable guys within 20 minutes of my house here in Big D, but I will start harassing Woody!

One of these days I will get back around to writing some new code for tt.NET that will speed it up dramatically. I've made progress on some prototypes but the available time just isn't there. Luckily it seems like the stuff we did write way back when, though slow, is stable (except for disk crashes!) and still functional after all these years.

I hope all is well with everyone in the Z community (excluding the AMS nonsense) and I look forward to enjoying the ride once again in the near future!
