A crew of us headed north from San Jose for opening night of the Sears Point Wednesday Night Drag Racing series. I brought my 300, Rob @ Z Car Garage brought new recently-tuned-by-Seb-645rwhp/572rwtq Z, a few Titans, an RB-powered 240Z, turbo S14, and a 2012 600awhp GT-R. My Z recently got the roll bar redone with a door bar to NHRA-legal standards (to run sub 11.50), but my new boost controller did not hit the dock in time for me to turn up the wick. I ran 12/13psi and left the street tires on, but wanted to work on my RT, shifts, etc., in preparation to make a fast pass in a few weeks.
I managed to make a 12.72 pass and move onto the next qualifying round:
Here is the video: [ http://youtu.be/iGwOamkcFA0 ] Walt's GTR started with a numbing 11.09 @ 128mph. That one, of course, was not on video (I saw the run and the time slip). That run was a 7.1 1/8th at 100mph! He was warned not to go under 11.5 again, so he had to throttle back a bit. [ http://youtu.be/M5R4L4DeiLM ]
Rob managed an 11.7 at 127mph on 17" drag radials. He had to flirt with the 11.5s barometer as well. The RB-Z made one run before braking, which was 13.2@105mph. Datsuns are driven (sometimes)! Here are some pictures:

Cheers, SS
