Message	in the future. It's also much easier to machine than stainless, so make an extra set. Don't use round bar stock, for reasons already mentioned. For the amount you need, material cost should not be a factor. Find a scrap yard, or better yet go to a local machine shop and buy the piece you need. Since you'll be paying in cash, they might give you a super deal on a piece laying around.
