IE: My car required excessive cranking after primed... Found out that the clamps between the 4", in-tank fuel line, between the pump and the bulkhead was leaking!!! I replaced it with (expensive) 5/16" in-tank fuel injection line, and new clamps. Never had the problem again. Fuel pressure bleed-off can come from many different sources, so as a supplemental note, keep that in mind next time you suspect your FPR!
