On the corner piece you can see a channel where a metal tab from the top piece clips into place. Without removing the glass and top piece, I will have to cut off the finger to get it into place: 
This is what the long flexible lower trim looks like before installation. I think I'll use mildly soapy water to help fit it in. It seems quite flexible:
