Message I'm not trying to be an ass here but that really just transferred most of the load from the two outer posts to the single middle one. Unless the outer lugs are preloaded. I would have made it into an I pattern using two front and two rear lugs.
It sounds like plenty of people have used RameyZ sling with no problems, so I don't really think that it needed to be fixed. Hell, it's possible that this change could cause failures.
