Subject	Stock nose panel air mod?

Message	I know opening up the nose panel brings in much needed air to the radiator, but aesthetically I can't stand the louvered/open nose panels currently on the market. I have a spare 90 nose (sans badge). Was thinking of cutting a giant rectangle in it and just using some type of metal mesh with a trim ring/rivets. Totally function over form piece that i can swap in place of the stock one for track days. Would this work? Or does there need to be a scoop/duct like the aftermarket ones to direct the air and make it properly functional? 90 Twin Turbo Track Build - jsworks.org for more info!
