Message	It sounds like I need: fill out a Bill of Sale and ensure it says "AS IS" on it. to cover me, sign it in front of a notary. no smog test required by me since it is a FL car. All smog testing will be required by him once he goes to register the car in CA. accept only cash and have the large bills checked with the special marker. fill out a release of liability form and send it to the FL DMV as soon as it is sold. fill out the transfer of title portion and have it signed by both the seller and purchaser. remove my tag prior to him driving away (in FL, the tag stays with the seller). I am assuming he will be okay driving with no tag so long as he has a Bill of Sale right? He has to drive it home which is about 3 hours away. make a copy of his driver's license in order to protect myself. Cancel my insurance since his insurance will cover him automatically until he adds it to his policy. I'm assuming that is all there is right? Am I missing anything or is anything incorrect? I also have a concern that he might come back and change his mind a few days later. Am I safe from this kind of flaking so long as I have the cash and a signed title & bill of sale? ----------------------------------------------------- Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!
