The first 3 pics I should have posted with my previous post but oh well. I have to preface by saying that looking at the engine bay, the dirt and grime is almost overbearing. I'm almost finding it difficult to concentrate and find a place to start knowing everything else I have ahead of me. Some of my plans are to relocate/wire tuck misc stuff like the fuel filter, wiper relay, main fuse block, and also the little bundle of wires by the PS headlight. The below are the first day with the engine pulled. Primarily taken for reference as to where some stuff goes when I put it all back in. 
After the first initial cleaning yesterday which involved some heavy duty Engine Brite, light scrubbing, and a rinse. I followed up with some Castrol Super Clean, let it soak a bit, scrubbed in some stubborn areas, and rinsed again.
Yesterday's progress involved pulling all of my A/C components, and staring at the engine bay for what seemed like ages contemplating what to do next. Today's progress involved removing the bumper, intake piping, headlights, coolant reservoir, carbon canister delete, and although not pictured, the main harness is out as well. Forgot to remove my wiper fluid reservoir, but that will be done as well. 
Considering this is what I had started with when I bought the car, it's already looking that much better.
