I understand. They never forgave or forgot - especially those in the Pacific Theater. I worked with a older guy about ten years ago who hated my car, simply because it was Japanese. I didn't understand until someone told me he had island hopped during the war. I imagine he's probably gone on to his reward by now, but I learned from my experience with him. It's easy to say there should be a problem, but you never know what experiences have shaped someone's life.
