| I just received my Popformance G.auge R.eplacement C.onsole and thought I'd share some pics for those on the fence. Background post here. Package arrived from Canada in less than a week.
  "> Nicely packaged. First thing you see is the install doc.
 "> Next are the displays and toggle selector. Laser cut foam throughout.
 "> Under that is the wiring.
 "> But wait, there's more. Last layer holds the control module.
 "> All the pieces laid out.
 "> Closeup. The display surround appears to be plastic and has a slight cross grain pattern to it. The small PCB on the right is the back of the toggle selector switch.
 "> Patrick recommends professional install for "Type-B" clusters (later revision). This page of the install guide shows there is some custom work required.
 "> It'll be a while before I have this up and running, so someone else will have to chime in about how well it works, but Patrick's previews (see link above) look promising. And to remind me I need to get this damn car running before I'm too old to enjoy it, here's a pic of my engine and its new color scheme. Comments welcome (though I've never been one to need validation, so grain o' salt, etc.).
