Message to doing steady state. The rig would be involved, but not impossible, and I think that is would become very useful as you do a lot of intercooler work. There has been a lot of churn lately about uneven heat distribution across the face of conventionally shaped intercoolers and this would provide an opportunity to measure it. Also you could map heatsoak performance. As you said, it would be the ideal method, and I am a fan of doing it once, and right.
