Me personally, I may have still gone on the trip, but I certainly would shun the man and make sure I was in no pictures with him, I also wouldnt be shy in letting folks know why when I was inevitably asked why the active effort to disassociate with him. There's no defending the indefensible. Rational people can understand why people like him are not welcome.
