Message	you a little and sell it for more. They mess with the numbers, and combine selling price, finance costs, interest rates, and trade in allowance, to make it seem different, but bottom line is that they won't do it unless they can make money at it. Only time to trade-in is when you can't, in good conscience, sell your car to somebody because it has hidden defects.
