Message	it sounds like he is describing a sequential turbo setup, not a compound turbo setup. A compound turbo uses the first turbo to pressure feed the second turbo to obtain higher pressure ratios. The setup he describes bypasses the smaller turbo past 20 psi, which is not a compound configuration
