Message A few months after purchasing my 1994TT, I installed a StopTech 13" BBK up front. This was close to 8 years ago. From that day on every time I use the brakes between 40 and 70 there is a vibration felt on the pedal. I installed new OEM tension rods at the same time after discovering one of them was oozing goo. The car had 45,000 miles at the time so I ruled out loose suspension componenets as a possible cause of the vibration, plus it never did it with the stock brakes. StopTech and many others insisted the problem was inproper pad bedding. Removing the discs and lightly abrading them with scotch bright pads or sand paper and solvent cleaning never improved the situation.

Last month I tried a different brand (and I think friction compound) of pad, Hawk. Much less dust and reduced vibration. I only feel it now above 60. Things are looking up. Waiting for Z1's new adj upper control arms with bushings NOT bearings. Maybe those will finally cure this persistent and very annoying problem.
