Message V-band clamps would be too tight in my opinion to run there effectively. With vband clamps there is virtually no room for fitment adjustment. Everything has to line up PERFECTLY.

Also you have to think about the fact that the weight of your exhaust is going to be pulling down on these when you hit bumps on the highway, scrape a little in a parking lot, torquing the motor up while doing burnouts for your friends, etc. Would you feel safe having your entire exhaust kit held on with only 2 clamps?
Do you think that those 2 single clamps will stay sealed when you engine is dancing around under the hood because of your 20 year old motor mounts?

V-bands have been around for decades. There is good reason why they have not been used on Z32's all these years. Zero fitment adjustability is the main reason.
