| I run a MOTEC on my car and we downloaded the data after a spirited run. There were definate sharps drops in oil pressure at high G loading either while braking or turning or both. However a normal mechanical guage cannot react fast enough to pick this up and you would not notice it while driving and looking at a guage. Really its only a issue when the car has been lightened a lot and is running slicks and high HP, at that stage I beleive its time for a dry sump. Accumsump is a bandaid. Larger capacity either with a bigger sump or external cooler/filter will help but still the High G loading will still throw the oil away from the pickup for split seconds under extreme situations. My other race Z which is not as light and running road/race tyres does not seem to have any problems -external filter and oil cooler but stock sump. Cross fingers, but this car does not have data logging so can't say for sure. I have some of the data logging images around somewhere - supposedly only 1 week till my Dailey Engineering dry sump system is off the CNC machine - seen a picture of the first prototype and it looks awesome. Can't wait.
