Message	drive my Z on weekends; mostly every 2 weeks. I've just recently switched from an Optima Red top to a regular acid battery (Duralast Gold). I've had numerous Optimas and they all drain within a week. The Duralast I have now can go for about 2 weeks with the car sitting around and it will still have enough power to start the car. Either way, I found a solution for me one day when at Harbor Freight. It's a solar charger that plugs into your lighter. I don't have the luxury of garaging my Z, so I place this in my Z with a car cover over it, and it keeps the battery charged. But, I will have to try the face plate trick to see if that helps me out.
