Message I recently talked to Brett about purchasing his motor mount upgrade.

I would like to say that he was a pleasure to deal with and EVERYTHING about his mounts and customer service is top notch.

I had the opportunity to get a set of the AMS mounts.. to compare. They really are on opposite sides of the spectrum. The AMS took the time to copy some of the parts very closely.. but you can tell there is no "love" or dedication in making these.. They weren't made to help the Z community.. they were only made to undercut someone else's hard work and for the $$

The AMS mounts weren't packaged as well as Brett's mounts. You saw his post about them.. I honestly didn't even notice the small details (like the pressed in AMS locater vs. Brett's milled one peice locater. Secondly, the improperly sized stud, the hardware used in the AMS kit is so generic, who knows what the real strength grade is. Not to mention, there were no instructions on install. The AMS mounts were just loosely thrown into a box and shipped over. There is just no comparison between the two. I am glad I got to send him the set of AMS mouns so that he could look them over.

Here are some pictures of Brett's mounts and the packaging
Outer box

Whats this.. neatly and tightly packaged with a secondary inner box? even with peanuts!

Why hello there Mr. detailed instructions :)

Instructions in color! With TQ specs etc.. step by step

QUALITY ARP bolts and hardware. With the lube for proper torque!

Authentic ARP hardware, We all know ARP makes good stuff

Mounts were tightly packaged with everything needed for install

Now just imagine the time that Brett took to fabricate these parts.. You can just feel the quality.. REAL polyurethane bushings.. not some chinese junk rubber copies

Brett even labeled each mount for driver vs. passenger side.. Even my cat loves these mounts!

Take a look at these TIG welds!.. now thats what i'm talking about! PURE QUALITY!

I must say.. its very sad that AMS is just blantently copying so many of our Z fabricators parts. AMS could have had a great thing if they just made their own designs.. bringing parts to the Z community for good prices.. But no.. They just steal people's designs and taint the market with inferior copies..

The worst part of all.. is that it is killing the drive for members to come up with new stuff.. The Z market has come SO FAR in these past few years.. and it in mainly due to the Z guys on Twinturbo.net. (Ash, SZ, Brett etc etc)..

In conclusion, Check out the quality of the BDE mounts.. the packaging, the execution, the instructions, the welding, the process AND materials used to manufacture. Brett was very friendly and shipping was super fast.

Theres no need to do stress tests on the parts to see if the AMS copies hold up.. Buy from the originator that took the time to design and fabricate this part. Then you'll never even have to worry about the quality.

Kong out.

Thanks again Brett!
